MGNE Annual Meeting & Members Open Exhibit

In 2011 the MGNE continues its tradition of welcoming all members to our Annual Meeting & Exhibit. This year’s meeting will be on Saturday, June 11 at the Belmont Media Center.

Tentative Schedule of Events for June 11, 2011:

11:30 to 12:30, MGNE Board Members’ Meeting
12:30 to 1:30, Luncheon and Print Swap
1:30 to 2:30, Annual Members’ Meeting
2:30 to 3:30, Lecture by Joel Janowitz
4:00 to 6:00, Public Reception for the Gallery Show (hosted by the Belmont Media Center)

Annual Meeting:

A chance to network with one another, provide feedback to the MGNE leadership on future goals and directions, hear a presentation by renowned local artist, Joel Janowitz and participate in the print swap.

Guest Speaker:

Joel Janowitz is an award-winning and much-collected artist working in monotype, monoprint and other media. He has taught at a number of institutions in New England and elsewhere, including at Wellesley College, MassArt, the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.

Members’ Open Exhibit:

All MGNE members are invited to submit one framed piece.

Belmont Media Center:

The Belmont Media Center is a public, educational and government television access center. Among many other programs, they are the producers of "Make Art, Feel Better" with Billie Bivins. The BMC’s Gallery welcomes Belmont, MA resident artists to apply for solo or joint exhibits in their gallery space. A map and directions can be found online at their website.
