My work begins with a love of the human figure and the incidental, interesting, and beautiful shapes our bodies create. I am fascinated by how those shapes convey so much emotion and meaning. My recent work explores the figure in conversation, and monotype is the perfect medium for it because it gives the figures a sense of motion and immediacy.
