       Artist Statement

My work has always been about structure and pattern. Early on, it was about patterns found in nature (primarily the Fibonacci Sequence). Lately, it has been the structure of Moiré patterns overlaid with patterns of webs-nets-veils. I believe that patterns communicate on a subconscious level – that they give us an understanding of who we are, what we are. These patterns are intended as a reinforcement of the joy of being human.
