As a small child, color, textures and nature fascinated me. I would spend hours making small worlds for imaginary visitors out of moss, stones and bark. As an adult I have been blessed with a career that allows me to create magical spaces for clients as a landscape designer. In my art I love combining texture, color and dimensionality through the use of encaustic, monoprint and found objects. Both monoprinting and encaustic are humbling art forms, as the best conceived plans are not always what come about. This giving over to the process is what I love the most about making art and calls me to the studio to just let go and have fun. The process of creating art has been a way for me to work through loss, change and on to hope and joy.
