RUTH GINSBERG-PLACE
Artist Statement Ruth Ginsberg-Place, Boston printmaker, photographer and book artist, has her studio at the Boston Center for the Arts. She is a member of EES Arts Printmaking Cooperative, Boston Book Arts and Zea Mays Printmaking Studio. Recent one-person exhibits were at Southern Vermont Center for the Arts and New England Biolabs. Next spring some of her books will be shown in Winnipeg, Canada, one of the venues in a five year traveling exhibition "Women of the Book". The Boston Public Library, the Art Institute of Chicago, Atelier 505 in Boston, and Congregation Beth El in Sudbury are some public collections that include her work. She received her MFA from Syracuse University followed by a tenured assistant professorship position at Southern Illinois University. She has also taught at Wentworth and Wheelock colleges.
